CREATIVE INTERSECTIONS

Scottish Transgender Alliance, EveryoneIN and Out to Access

are jointly organising an accessible

Free Residential Arts Retreat

for people living in Scotland

who are transgender, intersex and/or bisexual, gay or lesbian,

and also

disabled and/or from a minority ethnic background

When: Monday 12th March to Thursday 15th March 2012

Where: Badaguish Education Centre, Aviemore, PH22 1QU

Join us for an exciting arts based residential in a fully-accessible lodge in the Scottish Highlands!

This is your chance to creatively share your experiences of accessing services and explore how to make services better in a fun and relaxed way.

The residential will have a programme of workshops on visual arts, music, creative writing, photography and film to help participants tell their stories in ways that are most enjoyable for them. These stories will then be put together in a document published online, and parts of the process will be filmed and distributed to organisations as a DVD. Appearing in the DVD is completely optional so you can take part in the residential without being filmed.

Places are limited, and the main application period closed on 16 February 2012. However, to help ensure a good diversity of participants we are prepared to consider late applications, especially from minority ethnic LGBTI people and people living outwith the central belt. If you would like to be considered for a place please click the 'Register' button above to apply by 26 February 2012.

Late applications will be assessed and possible participants notified by 29 February 2012.

All access requirements will be met, and all accommodation and travel costs will be paid for participants and any Personal Assistants.
